Matthew 9:10-13

Later, Matthew invited Jesus and his disciples to his home as dinner guests, along with many tax collectors and other disreputable sinners.

But when the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with such scum?”

When Jesus heard this, he said, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do.”

Then he added, “Now go and learn the meaning of this Scripture: ‘I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices.’

For I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.”

we are all sinners.

i’m a sinner.

worst sinner in the world in fact.

i’m just the same as and a rapist, a loan shark, a thief, and a serial killer.

i sin. and i need healing.

and im amazed that God can love me.

how hard it is to love the unlovable. the very people we are brought up to despise.

do we love them?

would you love me?

Jenna Talackova I WUBS YOU

read here for more info

hello everybody.

i’m jenna.

i come from canada.

i joined the Miss Universe Pageant 2012 (because im pretty),

but got disqualified as a finalist for not being a “naturally born” female.

though i was born into a male body,

it just… wasnt me. hehe.

so i started living a life of a girl from age 4.

i began a hormone therapy at age 14.

and had my sex change at 19.

yippeeeeeeee

it was painful. but worth it baybehhh.

now i got the whole world backing me up.

discrimination, you going downnn.

since when did the pageant get to decide who is female and who isn’t?

i got all the credentials to prove it.

i got other ways to prove it too~

*wink wink*

and you know whats the best thing about this?

its that “The Miss Universe Organization might reverse its earlier decision and allow a transgender woman to enter the Miss Universe Canada pageant” in the future!

i’ve started a revolution.

oh my grandparents would be so proud of me.

not only that.

i’m pretty!

p.s. she didnt actually say that. i made it up.

except for the facts.

SO!

who do you think is female?

and who isn’t?

i thought we learned in biology that we all have some male hormones and female hormones in us.

just that some have more than others.

how should we react to this?

should we hate her/him/it?

or should we support her/him/it?

the news just refer Jenna as ‘her’ and ‘she’.

so if the news calls her a ‘she’ then its gotta be legit right?

support or hate?

second thing i need you to notice.

this is a world of business.

businessman Donald Trump, is a businessman.

he owns the Miss Universe organisation and is looking to earn money.

if the world wants to see a transgender enter the pageant, he’ll make it happen.

give the people what they want to see.

this is the entertainment industry.

look at reality shows like ‘survivor’ and ‘amazing race’.

they got these couple games or series right?

and surely there would be one or two gay couples.

why?

because it makes a whole new experience for the viewers.

it makes people watch it.

i don’t really want to make any conclusions for this blog post today.

you decide.

p.s. i have to admit that the hormonal therapy did make her/him pretty. maybe i should try some since im so unpretty.

I Was Amazed

hahaha i couldnt help myself.

TOO CUTEEEE

anyways.

did Jesus LIE?

Matthew 8:10

When Jesus heard this, he was amazed. Turning to those who were following him, he said, “I tell you the truth, I haven’t seen faith like this in all Israel!

why did i ask such an outrageous question?

well, according to “google: define amazed“,

it means “Surprise (someone) greatly; fill with astonishment.”

I believe Jesus is all knowing and all understanding.

which means… He cannot be surprised. right?..

But He can be amazed.

filled with awe.

in such a humanly sinful, self-centered, weak state that we are in,

it is amazing to see one Gentile, not Jew, who showed such devotion and faith.

lesson:

can God be amazed by me and what little I have to offer to Him and His cause?

i think yes.

not surprised, but amazed. filled with joy and great pride.

“This boy, with just tiny gift, with his little resource,

can bless Me and My kingdom according to the capacity I have provided for him.”

Wow. imagine God saying that to me.

awesome.

lets practice faith and trust in Him.

lets amaze Him.

Him who amazes and surprises us always.

The Hallel

Anyone can sing in the sunshine, but to sing in the shadows is a rare accomplishment

What can we learn from the Passover Song? That we can turn our troubles into treasure and our sorrow into song.

Faith can sing her song in the darkest hour. Sorrow and singing are not incompatible.”

-J. Oswald Sanders

“Hallel”, or “Praise” in english, is a song sung during Passover feasts as tradition.

which is the feast Jews remember how God saved the Israelites out of Egypt.

the Hallel is comprised of Psalm 113-118 which is originally one song before they were collected into psalms.

during Jesus’ time, they also celebrated the Passover feasts.

and so did Jesus.

the most famous record of Jesus at a Passover feast is His last one before He was betrayed and sent to suffer.

yeap.

He knew what was gonna come, yet He still sang the Hallel during the Passover feast.

Still celebrated God’s goodness.

wow.

how to celebrate when u know you’re gonna DIE?

either He’s got serious mental problems,

or He’s a REAL man for just delighting in fulfilling God’s will.

Prophecy Gets People Excited

I’m Not Sad

I’m Angry.

okay, yes im sad as well.

do NOT ask why.

Matthew 2:3-5

King Herod was deeply disturbed when he heard this, as was everyone in Jerusalem.

He called a meeting of the leading priests and teachers of religious law and asked, “Where is the Messiah supposed to be born?”

“In Bethlehem in Judea,” they said, “for this is what the prophet wrote:…

just like a marketing campaign, prophets all across the timeline of history advertised the coming of a messiah.

a saviour.

they all got a word or vision from God about a king, a shepherd, a hero.

and all these prophets didnt know each other.

they didnt plan with each other.

all coming from different ages of time.

how could they predict the future?

they cant.

but God was revealing Jesus to the world.

When Jesus came into this world, He fulfilled ALL the prophesies about Him.

except those about Him coming back once more (thats about to happen soon).

in Matthew chapter 2 ITSELF, the only thing that repeats itself is about how Jesus fulfills this prophesy or that prophesy.

check out verse 5, 15, 17, and 23.

very interesting.

according to J. Oswald Sanders in his book “The Incomparable Christ”

“Jesus was the Crown of Old Testament prophecy”.

the Jews at that time were SO EAGER for that Hero to come.

and He did.

Thats why people get so excited.

its like when all the critics and news talk about “the upcoming hit movie: hunger games!”

or something like that.

Disprove Contradict Rebut Disagree Oppugn Counter

Word of the day

Oppugn

verb: Call into question the truth or validity of.

the Bersih Rally 3.0 is on again.

this time with three new demands:

1. resignation of the current Election Commission members

2. clean-up of the electoral rolls

3. invitation of international observers to monitor the general election

i took those points from here and here.

interesting reads. please let me know what you think.

anyways.

Bersih 2.0, held last year, basically is a call to the government for the clean up of electoral rolls.

which even more basically means we know something fishy is going on and you better stop it.

this time. its more vocal and more demanding.

i may not totally agree that we have to totally kick off the current election commission members but i cant disagree either.

the ‘fishy’ stuff that goes on, goes on in there.

thats what ‘cleaning of polling system’ means right?

you dont wash ur bowl halfway and call it clean.. do you?

and i totally think we should clean it fully for it to be fully clean.

hahaha that sounded dumb.

anyways. as for point 3.

i think that is totally sensible. and smart. and a good idea.

get a middle man to overlook. an independent auditor to keep things in check.

sounds fair to me.

i may not have a very strong political view.

in fact, i know very little.

but let me say this, i believe that times are changing.

the little timid malaysian community is quiet no more and they are biting back.

big bully government party is being found guilty of… well… bullying.

for the past…. ever.

BN has been holding governing status over Malaysia.

and because of this, BN has lotsa money.

do they use it to build infrastructure in the poorer parts of Malaysia?

do they feed the poor and keep the old and dying happy?

do they train police to be law abiding citizens?

YES. yes they do.

BUT. i dont believe they do enough.

i also believe that they spend more on themselves than they should.

and i also know that they spend money to (hear this) buy votes.

since we are a “democratic” country, government parties are ‘won’ by votes.

How To Buy Votes 101:

easy.

go to less educated people (villagers, simpletons, people who just turned 21, and everyone who hasnt signed up to vote), tell them about their rights to vote, then convince them to vote for you by giving them RM50.

(in fact i heard that its RM200 in some places nearer to the city =O )

NOT ONLY THAT

i dont know how true this is, but i heard also

that people who are of viable age who DO NOT REGISTER to vote are automatically “counted” in as people who vote for the current governing body.

this one i do not believe is true.

but hey, who knows.

so what am i going to do this coming election?

im going to be part of the pressure.

you see, voting tells the governing parties what we want.

as a community, as a whole.

even if BN still gets most votes and governing seats, we can still pressure them by saying “we are not happy, if you dont do a good job, we’ll drop you the next time”

i’m not saying that BN is totally bad.

in fact i know of BN ministers who are good in what they do, and worthy of their position.

not only that, BN is rich!

i want a governing body that is rich. dont you?

but the problem is not money.

the problem is the stewards of the money.

this is a message to my peers.

do not be ignorant.

dont think that just because you are away studying somewhere that you are out of the loop or not affected by this.

dont think that politics is just a jumble of crap and being uninvolved is the safest thing to do.

find out what is going on.

ask questions.

im not asking you to believe everything people say, use your wisdom.

God gave us a brain to consider facts.

God gave us wisdom to tell truth from lies, whats important from whats not.

God’s first commandment to man is to “Fill the earth and govern it.”

to have dominion over the earth.

let us be good stewards.

you decide the welfare of yourself, your family, your community, and your future.

being ignorant is an easy decision to make.

is it the right one?

oh, and please disagree with your parents when they say

“just migrate lah”

That’s What Makes You Beautiful

APRIL

one quarter of the year is gone.

arg

Earth Hour

we were having a fun discussion during church the other day about this earth hour event.

i live in an area that has frequent electricity cuts.

i’m pretty sure it happens all throughout my country, Malaysia.

so i was opining that here in Sabah, we’ve definitely paid our due of earth hours.

in fact… nah… i wont get into statistics.

you know, earth hour shouldnt be applied in third world countries.

but then again, the purpose of earth hour is not to save energy.

but to raise awareness about the need to take action on climate change.

so can i give a friendly suggestion?

instead of turning off non-essential lights for 60minutes,

we should refrain from smoking, cooking, opening the refrigerator door, using air-conditioning, and using any sort of motor vehicle or motor contraptions for 60 minutes.

oh and no using the candle.

=P

imagine all the flights that needs to be cancelled, all the people stuck in elevators, and people who have to wait an hour for their food to arrive.

such happy thoughts make me giddy.

You’re Not Beautiful Anymore

If only you saw what I can see
You’ll understand why I want you so desperately
Right now I’m looking at you and I can’t believe
You don’t know
Oh oh
You don’t know you’re beautiful
Oh oh
That what makes you beautiful

i admit.

it is kinda catchy.

its one of those songs that you dont want to remember but the tune seems to get stuck in your head.

sigh.

so anyways, something totally stupid about this song that i noticed.

sure its nice to sing a song to a girl to tell her she’s beautiful and she rocks your world and such.

and girls love it when you tell them what about them that you love.

its like, i love you and i can prove it.

i mean, girls love to ask “why?” anyways.

so that kinda covers that.

so tell a girl she’s beautiful. fine.

so tell her she doesn’t know she’s beautiful. fine.

so tell her that’s the reason she’s beautiful. not fine.

why? well. if NOT KNOWING is what makes her beautiful,

WHY ARE YOU TELLING HER?

sheesh.

you know, i think girls are stupid enough to like it when guys say stuff like this.

the REAL problem is that guys are stupid enough to think of these kind of things to say.

so a good ending line to this song should be

“i published this song to tell you youre beautiful,

and now that you know,

you’re not beautiful anymoreeeeee~~”

“fyi”
