Strong Desire

No one blogs anymore do they?

Sin Sin Sin Covet Sin

In relation to yesterday’s post, as God was teaching me about lust on Friday, I get a free lesson about it again yesterday. Paul says coveting is idolatry.

Colossians 3:5 (NKJV)  Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
This teaches another aspect of lust: When we covet, it’s a strong desire for something. If we desire it more than what our discipline or conscience says, then it’s a lust. In fact, we may even take it a step further and take action to fulfill the desire. For example, watching porn, binge shopping, stealing. If we knowingly do something that we know we shouldn’t, that’s basically trusting and worshipping another ‘god’. For example, Sex or Materialism.
Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Ask yourselves if you love God enough to keep his commandments.

Less Than Three But More Than Words

Proverbs 31:30 (NKJV)  Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.

(Don’t kill me for sharing this pic. Or for this romantic thing I’m going to say)

Did you know that you’re my biggest light? And I’m your biggest fan. So we’re a power couple. Cuz our electricity is from God.

Ba dum tss

*so romantic*

Joey~

I always thank God for you. You’ve been such a big blessing in my life. You always support me. And you’re a great companion. (and a great caretaker) (and now I’m fat)

Continue to be passionate for God. Continue to be passionate for the less privileged. You’ll be a super woman for God one day. I really believe that.
May your bond with God grow stronger and may He bless you more and more in every way. Because when He blesses you, I’m blessed as well.
Happy valentines day Joey

Not A List Of Do-Not’s

Ephesians 4:25-32

25 Therefore, putting away lying, “Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,” for we are members of one another. 26 “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, 27 nor give place to the devil. 28 Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need. 29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

Ephesians 4:17-24

17 This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind,18 having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; 19 who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

20 But you have not so learned Christ, 21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

Galatians 5:16-25

16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

These are just a few verses that spoken to Joey and I today. So I just thought I might share it here and hope it will speak to you too. Might be a timely word for some of you out there as well.

The reason why these verses spoke out to me is because Joey’s first comment was  “This is serious”.

That kinda jolted me awake. Because it made me realize I was just reading it as a list of negatives. Don’t this and don’t that. I was trying to think why is this bad, why is that bad. Making my own conclusions. WITHOUT taking to heart that it was about me. I was being a student learning about the sin without being a child learning about sin in my life.

I wasn’t putting my life under the spotlight and evaluating my actions, words, thoughts, and motives. I wasn’t repenting. I didn’t realize how seriously this scripture was speaking to me. It was serious.

Okay God. I repent. I was not meant to walk in the flesh. Guide me and lead me towards your path, your works and your character. I was meant to walk in the Spirit.

Girl

Girl 1

I was actually having a difficult day yesterday. I wasn’t happy when I was driving. Things just weren’t going well. Then you came along and your motivation motivated me. You encouraged me, made me laugh, laughed at my jokes. You were serious with me, honest, and even got mad at my inappropriate jokes. Which was cute. You showed so much kindness and patience. It was really good for my soul. And I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I’m doing much better now emotionally. Thank you.

Things are changing for you. Yet you aren’t adapting well. A little more discipline will really help you a lot with life struggle you’re facing now. Trust me.

You’ve changed as well. Things that you once thought was important has become less important. You’ve forgotten your loves and motivation. You let your peers influence you. You’ve allowed people to mold your character.

You were once the leader. The one who wasn’t afraid to be different to stand for what you believed in. You’re the one people looked up to. Not me. You were the one people opened up to when they had problems.

Don’t give that up. You still have it in you. You’ve still got everything God has given you. God doesn’t give us gifts for ourselves. But always for the benefit of others. You’re definitely one of those multi gifted ones.

Run towards God. Serve. Lead. Rise. Stay strong. Keep your heart, character and attitude pure. That’s the real you I see when I look at you.

Blood Sacrifice

I notice that my visitor count isn’t as high as it used to be. Maybe there’s just a lot of nice blogs out there to read. Maybe people think it’s a pain to read blogs overall.

I haven’t updated too much in a while. And they aren’t really too deep thinking or things that stir your thought too much. So I actually don’t expect much traffic here.

We could keep it at that. It’s not like this is a fashion blog or a sports or news blog. It’s just my life. And ‘Aaron’ isn’t really a category for blogging or social entertainment. So this blog is just for you people who are interested in my life.

Hello!

I overheard this conversation I was involved in yesterday (it was held in Bahasa Malaysia):

Guy: Isn’t she pretty?

Lady at counter: Yes she is. Why haven’t you asked her to be your girlfriend?

BOOM

I couldn’t help but laugh at him inside.

Have any of you seen Inside Out yet? The new Pixar movie. I want to!

Oh yeah, Mission Impossible is out too, if I’m not mistaken.

Oh and I heard that Channing Tatum may quit from doing the Gambit movie.

Oh and I recently added Buttersafe into my list of bookmarks at work. So I have something to relax my mind before I have to dive back in to work.

Leviticus 17:11

for the life of the body is in its blood. I have given you the blood on the altar to purify you, making you right with the Lord. It is the blood, given in exchange for a life, that makes purification possible.

Whiners Gotta Whine

Ever hear a kid whine? I hear it a lot. Funny thing is, people whine. Lot’s of people do it. We do it cuz we want something (usually attention), and also just to complain (it also means we want attention duh).

Kids do it. Teenagers do it. Adults do it. Even really old people do it.

It’s freaking annoying. STOP IT please. Nobody WANTS to help you after you’ve whined. Do your friends want to help you more when you whine? Are you more popular or do people like to have you around when you whine? Does your boyfriend prefer you whining when you ask for something rather than ask nicely? Do your parents see you more as an adorable precious princess when you whine? Are your team members more motivated when they see their leader whine?

Please reevaluate your character and your attitude towards… everything… in life.
